Complete a survey for the Hall

The Trustees of Slaley Commemoration Hall are planning to submit an application for a grant to improve the facilities in the village hall.

What do we want to do?

  • If you have visited the Hall, you will know that access to both the storage area and the toilets is difficult (even dangerous), due to the different levels.
  • The proposal is to refurbish the toilets and storage block, eliminate the steps down to the ladies and gents toilets, increase the available storage space and improve the toilets.

This would be accomplished by raising the roof height and bringing the floor level up to that of the main hall.

What would this achieve?

  • This would allow us to use trolleys for storing and moving tables, staging, and chairs. The risk of falls and injury on the steps would be eliminated, making it easier and safer for everyone to move equipment to and from the hall.
  • It would improve access to the toilets for all users.

To succeed with our application, we need your support for this proposal. Please complete this questionnaire as soon as possible, and by September at the latest. If you prefer to fill in a printed version, we will be distributing them to those groups using the hall (one was included in the April Newsletter).
