Local Bus: The Parish Council has received a new Draft Timetable for the local 689 bus service effective from 31st October 2011. There will be 3 buses a day on weekdays leaving Townhead at 10:24, 12:24 & 17:49 with returns from Hexham Bus Station at 11:46, 13:41 & 17:16. On Saturdays there will be 4 buses leaving Townhead at 10:24, 12:24, 14:59 & 16:59 with returns from Hexham Bus Station at 10:41, 12:41, 15:16 & 17:16. N.B this is a draft timetable and times may be subject to slight change.
Play/Sport Area: Work will be starting soon on the new play & sport facilities on the school field; these will include a ‘Ball wall’ with football goal and basketball hoop, tennis net posts, a bike track with dirt jumps and timber skills equipment and a climbing frame. Many thanks must go to Catherine Lincoln for all the hard work that she has put in to this project.
