Part of Parish Plan Action Plan

Press Release:

Two sections of the Slaley Parish Plan have received very little attention namely ‘Supporting Local Businesses’, which was identified under the Keeping Slaley Lively heading and ‘Facilities and Services’, this is identified as information about local produce, skills and crafts. To rectify this Slaley Parish Council is producing a Business Directory, which is just as it says a Slaley directory of businesses, conducted by people of the parish with their business address also in the parish. Obviously there are people in the parish who run their business from home or who provide a service that has been missed in this draft. Would you please get in touch with Pat Wilson, Clerk to Slaley Parish Council, on 01434 673388 or e-mail patricia.wilson28@btinternet.com to discuss your listing.
The ‘Where to Buy Locally’ leaflet will provide information such as contact details for local entertainers, telephone numbers for local producers and how to access the vast wealth of local people with special skills and crafts. Again many people will be missed from this leaflet. Please get in touch with information of your details to Pat Wilson, Clerk to the Council.

It is envisaged that both publications will frequently alter therefore we are not having them professionally published in large quantities. Initially, at least, they will be printed by home computers and distributed via several B&B establishments, the village shop, the Commemoration Hall, notice boards and our web page www.slaley.org.uk

To view both drafts Margaret & Roy has copies in Slaley Village Shop or log onto the web site.
