Janis, I have recently applied for a job in slaley as I hope to relocate to a rural environment, which in turn is how I came to be looking at information on Slaley. I enjoyed your article, which was well written and well judged. You are right to point out that essentially divisions that stem from resentment or insecurity, etc, can only lead to further breakdown of a community. If I am eventually successful in my efforts to move to your area I feel heartened that I will be given the courtesy of a chance to show what I can contribute, from at least one person.
