Slaley Community Shop

Slaley Shop which has been owned and run by Margaret and Roy for many decades has now transferred from May 2017 into a Community Shop, run purely by volunteers! If you need shopping in the village, passing through to the A68, or staying locally and need some supplies, please drop in!

The shop will have it's own website very soon www.slaley.co.uk

From Moo to You

The Baynes family at Marley Cote Walls process the milk from their pedigree herd of Shorthorn and Ayrshire Dairy Cows and market it under the Northumbrian Pedigree brand.

Their milk and cream is sold at Slaley Village Shop as well as many other outlets in the area. Whole, semi-skimmed and skimmed milk are available as well as double, whipping and single cream.

Hollybush Nursery & Coffee Shop

A cosy log cabin houses the coffee shop, serving home-made soups, bacon sandwiches, hot or cold pies, cakes, coffee and tea.

The nursery stocks a large of range of shrubs, roses, trees, perennials and annuals. Hanging baskets, planters and containers also available.

The Travellers Rest

The Travellers Rest offers a warm welcome and high standard of hospitality to all. Fine food and drink can be enjoyed in the bar or restaurant, and we are open all day. A selection of hand-pulled ales and local beer can be enjoyed in the bar or the large garden with children's play area.

The Rose & Crown

The Rose & Crown, the pub/restaurant owned by the community it serves. It is the first community owned pub in North East England, and is in a Grade 2 listed building which dates back to 1675.
